Meet the founder
Confused Kitchen was founded by TJ, a proud Scarborough native with over 25 years of culinary expertise. Growing up between two food worlds, the Tamil flavours of home and the burgers and poutine of the neighbourhood, TJ never saw a reason to choose.
So in 2018, he stopped choosing. Confused Kitchen opened its doors with one idea: take the nostalgic tastes of both worlds and fuse them into something bold and new.
Not authentic. Just fusion.
We're not trying to be your amma's kitchen, and we're not trying to be a diner. We take the best of both and let them collide, on purpose.
Slow-cooked mutton curry and proper kothu technique, with spice blends made in-house. The foundations are the real thing.
Smash burgers and poutine, the comfort food of home number two, holding its own on the same menu.
Mac & cheese meets mutton curry. Butter chicken meets fries. When the two worlds collide, nobody's confused for long.
5005 Steeles Ave E, Unit #107. Open Tuesday through Sunday. First time? Start with the Mac & Cheese Mutton Roll.
